The Woodgate NHW represents the Neighbourhood Watch in the local area.
The aim of the NHW is to strengthen and connect our communities for a safe and secure neighbourhood.
In conjunction with the Queensland Police Service the local NHW group focuses on working together as a community to reduce crime and enhance community safety.
Traditionally NHW has focused on improving home security, reducing the fear of crime and reporting suspicious activity to police. Over the years this has evolved into broader community safety issues - working together to identify and address local concerns and problems.
The Woodgate NHW holds bi-monthly general meetings in February, April, June, August (AGM), October and December. The December meeting is arranged to co-incide with the Annual NHW Christmas Dinner.
