Woodgate Beach Australia Day

Breakfast

A good crowd braved the elements and the early start to celebreate Australia Day with a Breakfast at Woodgate Beach.

Because of the potential weather the event was held in the Woodgate Community Hall.

A free breakfast was prepared by the local SES and was enjoyed by all.

A singalong lead by the Woodgate Singers kept everyone entertained.

Awards were given to Joshua Nurse for Junior person of the year, and to Murray and Kath Miller for Woodgate person(s) of the year.

Joshua also gave the address for the morning where he talked of becoming an Australian and what it means to be a young Australian.

Councilor Ricarrdi represented the Bundaberg Regional Council who had kindly donated towards the event.

The event was managed by the Woodgate Community Events with assitance from the Woodgate Residents Association.
