Hall Kitchen

The Woodgate and District Residents Association has received a Grant of $6500 to assist in creating a design for a Commerical Style Kitchen at the Woodgate Community Hall.

The need for an improvement in the kitchen area was identified at a hall users meeting in May 2011. The Association was successful in receiving the grant from Queensland Governments Building Rural Communities Fund.

An initial design has now been produced by our designer and is available for download here. Please look at this in conjuction with the bill of quantities.

The Association will be holding a Hall Users Meeting on Saturday 12th May 2012 at 10AM at the Community Hall, to get feedback on this design before it is finalised and lodged with the Local Council for building approval.

Once the design is complete expressions of interest will be sought from local builders to oversee the modifications to the kitchen.

Flood Fund Raiser

The Woodgate and District Residents Association recently held a Flood Fund Raising Morning Tea at the Woodgate Club.

Over $7000 was raised to be distributed by the Bundaberg Salvation Army to those in need through out the district.

The Residents Association would like to thank the many companies and residents from Woodgate, Childers and Bundaberg who supported the morning tea through raffle prizes, donations, gifts, and their presence at the morning tea. It was a huge success.

A special thank you must go to the small band who put the morning tea together, gathered the many donations and assisted during the morning tea.
